I had Hot Banana on my sun lounger in Dubai on the beach and the drinks waiter was reading the back cover 😂 .. so I said oh it’s my friend Abi’s new book. Got very good service after that ❤️ he was literally running down the beach with my drinks xx
Yes, why is it always me that has to sidestep these ignorant people when I’m walking. It’s nearly always foreigners and children around 10-12 years old who haven’t been taught good manners by their parents.
Human contact is so important that’s why the government is happy that so many pubs are closing. Often pubs that play a significant part in the community and are a lifeline particularly for the single elderly. I also refuse to use those bloody coffee machines that ask about 6 questions before you can order a single coffee. My local hospital has 4 people working in their coffee shop but all coffees have to be ordered by machine😳
Yes Abi, I seem to be the one who moves out of the way when walking. I'm leaving it later, these days, before I take collision avoidance action. It cheeses me off when there's no acknowledgement of my good manners. I usually say a pithy thank-you as our paths cross.
On Mike Graham's new show, they also talked about Reeves & Starmer (not the comedians with heart trouble, as they seem to have no hearts) not sticking to the Labour manifesto because they had no clue what they were doing. Utter bollocks, as they are carrying on from where the Tories left off and working towards the masterplan's completion. Speaking of Mike Grahsm, he now looks like a cross between Dick Emery's skinhead and one of the Proclaimers. They say the first thing you do when you come out of a long term relationship is to change your hairstyle.
Hi Abi. Hmmm, Stephen Barrett. He went from liking my tweets to blocking me in seconds after responding, I think politely, to pretty much the same subject as you put out on the pod, namely that this isn’t just Starmer going rogue, it’s a global assault on our freedom and way of life. Ultra-thin skinned if you don’t just nod and agree with him.
Well, that’s very interesting about Steven Barrett. May be I should wait a little before I subscribe to his SubStack in case he blocks me too! I’ve found that Steven Barrett posts some very good videos on SubStack. “Police at your Door” posted 21 September 2025 is excellent for advice that we may all need in the not too distant future.
Hi Jan, I’ve found myself agreeing with him on lots of things both on Twitter and on the telly, followed him for a year or so, “liked” him and he did the same in return. 🤷🏻♂️
Try a small disagreement with him and see what happens. 😄
Yes.Stretching and walking are the most important forms of exercise.I used to get terrible neck ache and back ache when I had my sedentary knitwear career.Since changing my self employment to my small cleaning business and dog sitting I no longer have any aches and pains and have lost a lot of weight.
