Turn the Lights Back On

Abi Daily fam!

As some of you may know I wrote and recorded some songs back in the mid 2000s (it seems like a lifetime ago.)

I wrote Turn the Lights Back On after the break up of my first marriage. Listening to the lyrics, I realise that it applies to any deception, including self-deception.

I recorded it in a little studio in the hills of San Francisco. All the musicians were extraordinary, and I was lucky enough to get the best backing singers in the business.

While we were recording, a deer appeared at the window. I remember being pretty hung over most of the time.

Life is a strange mix of the transcendent, and the earthy.

One thing I am sure of though: we need the light more than ever.
