Just beware that all these posts go out as emails. Substack is for long-form article journalism and people may get annoyed with all the 'tweet emails' and unsubscribe. Notes is a much better feature to use like Twitter.

Ah, ok! Thank you. I’ll use threads intermittently as I would get fucking annoyed if I got multiple emails a day!!

Thought you might enjoy this quote I just heard in a half hour hit-piece video (fully justified) on Elon Musk: "Twitter: Once a flawed but functional Town Square; now the social media equivalent of a Blockbuster that has been taken over by flea-infested racoons."

Apart from the slight to racoons, who I think are lovely, I thought it was brilliant! 😂🤣😂 The full video, which is very comprehensive in its demolition, can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y40RU5Nx6U

Anything that makes you good, Abi.

"Краткость - сестра таланта" А. П. Чехов...Apparently.

E-mail notifications is a good point by ExcessDeathsAU. The possible way around this - to make a rule in e-mail client to move all notification e-mails from Abi's substack to a different folder, so they will not fill the inbox fast. This is helpfull in any case for a favorite writer as it would help to do not miss them among tens or hundreds others.

Substack stuffs up your Inbox anyway, and I suspect that it's the Likes and Replies that are more the culprit than the actual articles. Whatever the case, it's way too much already and I know it's far worse for the "content creators" even though I'm not one, so far.

Abi, I would call this new genre "Subs" or "Stacks", I like them equally.

Much love to you and all the Abi Fam, you are the greatest.

Love and kisses
