Nick was away with his job in a hotel .somewhere in Scotland. 7am reception ring his room “David Cameron on the line for you, can you take the call”. Well he literally jumped, gathered himself with a polite hello David, and it was another man called David Cameron from the Scottish highlands not the PM 😂 but some really nice man who had been sent as the driver for the day x

You are quite right about the limited value of reading great books. You have to 'get' them and apply their wisdom to real life - reading them is not enough. I do think they can greatly increase your wisdom, but my family are very very well read and are partly the reason I read eg famous Greek and Russian literature - but I was still the only one that has seen through things in real life over the last few decades. I do think it's largely to do with them being stuck in a trance tho - and also brains damaged by prescription drugs/jabs.
