My hubby and I have taken to listening to your rants when we are having our tea… we chuckle at the intro every time. I’m thinking we need to hear it in the style of opera now after such an interesting insight into your time in Russia. Thanks Abi for a bit of light relief after another long day in the matrix. Looking forward to Jen’s call on Thursday it should be a giggle x

Very interesting! What a talented lady you are! How amazing to have studied in Moscow. Maybe you could give us a burst of opera sometime 😊. I always say to my boys, if I could have one wish, I would love to be able to sing. I am in awe of people who play music and can sing.

My eldest son plays the clarinet and taught himself piano. His music teacher said he'd benefit from playing in a group. Long story short, he joined a local orchestra. I just sat at the back and one day they asked if I would like to have a go at percussion. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had. I did find it difficult, learning to read the music, but the sense of achievement when we did a performance was brilliant. It came to an end when my son went off to uni but I have happy memories of it and I take my hat off to you. To be musical and sing opera, wow! I think that's fabulous!

Have a lovely weekend everyone 😊xx

God, I just love listening to these podcasts! They really are one of the highlights of the day for me. Loved hearing about your times in Moscow! So bloody interesting!!! I have had a yearning these last four or five years to go to Moscow and St Petersburg, and am now keener than ever to go one day . Thanks, dearest Abi, for all that you are doing. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Graham.

So interesting Abi thank you and I loved hearing about your time in Russia, the closest I’ve ever felt to being there , which I’d love to do. My mother was from Leipzig and we later made some very fascinating, oft heart in mouth journeys when we were granted visas to go ‘behind the iron curtain’ to see family.

I was sure you’d also be a lover of animals! I had a long time without any pets after always having a houseful when younger . But then got back to being able to have cats and dogs . I feed the fox, birds and the squirrel helps himself. We lost our beautiful labradoodle last year . Such sadness. We have recently adopted a Saluki , she’s a stunner and a real character . She’s loving having a home of her own, having spent her first eighteen months in kennels .

Have a great weekend Abi and all.
