What a wonderful birthday weekend Abi, no one could ask for more. Bob’s artwork, the best present, Dylan’s poem and Poppy’s necklace too. The Moran family sound like the most wonderful people.
I admire you being able to stay up into the early hours of the morning, I no longer have the stamina 😂
You really have been to heaven for the weekend haven’t you? Bob and his gorgeous family have given you some precious memories, I loved hearing about the children having so much fun with you. You sound so rejuvenated and upbeat, and you have another great weekend to look forward to! Happy days ❤️
Sounds like a magical weekend 💖 would love to see Bob’s sketches 🤣 Mr J got proper tingles when you read the piece from Romans. I lolled at Dylan’s poem, bless him. Xx
Sounds like such an amazing weekend it warms my heart just listening 🥰 what a beautiful family. We were only reminiscing this weekend with our kids about the amazing times they spent with my parents, (it would have been my mums birthday) the dens they made in the garden hanging a sheet over the washing line and pegging it down. Mum and dad had a waterpark at the back of where they lived and the kids used to like to see the boats and barges. Such beautiful memories are absolutely priceless xxx
Sounds like you had the best birthday weekend Abi, glad you got to spend time with a great family to recharge your batteries away from all the nonsense.
The Moran’s sound like my kind of people, my happiest moments and memories made are from my kids.
I forfeited a well paid job to have and raise my children myself instead of palming them off for holidays and a new car every few years like my sister in laws.
Both sister in laws would ask what I found to do all day as they would be so bored at home all day.
I never cared what they thought, I got to spend time enjoying raising them, nothing quite compares to the company of children, there’s something magical about sharing a simple picnic in your own garden, a water fight while filling the paddling pool, teaching them how to use a trampoline, my kids were in awe of that one. Simple walks, sticking our hands through the back garden fence and picking fresh blackberries to eat while sat reading stories in the shade under the tree, I have so many memories that I could fill a book.
The sofa sports took me back Abi, I remember doing it as a kid, my own two use to run and launch themselves as if they were doing the high jump landing onto the sofa. I would often joke on how when they had grown up and were in their own homes that me and their dad would be coming round to practice our technique on their sofas.
I think there’s something really infectious about children, their laughter, their innocence that transcends to all age groups.
There’s also something calming about their simple outlook on life, as they’re not tainted by the world around them if they’re allowed to develop as they should.
I’m so glad you had such a wonderful time with special people such as the Moran’s, we need more people like this in this world, it’s so heartwarming to hear about a lovely joyous family.
