The nature of a human, family, work, worship, moral law, education, food, health, the body, private property, peace, free speech, fair justice system, these are the non negotiable, prepolitical, things that must be fought for. This stuff is real, the effects are direct because these are the things that make up our lives. This is where the fight is. Basic assumptions about life are being up ended. This is the stuff I want to understand and fight against. That requires learning from the past, intellectual honesty about what we do and don’t yet know and the limits of human knowledge, discussion, patient plugging away, fighting for focus. Amen and amen.
Right now neither do I but I’m hopeful that stories of past resistance under now fallen regimes will give us some clues politically. On the spiritual front I think we need to recover a biblical view of God, humanity, sin, judgment, salvation in Christ and growth in holiness by the power of the Holy Spirit. That provides us with spiritual resilience as we journey through this life into the new heavens and new earth and the long term perspective. The political will pass away.
I am putting my faith in God. My NKJ Bible has arrived Jonny. Now I just have to work out where to begin and what are the most relevant sections to read first. There is a 30 day reading plan with the Bible for beginners so I guess I will start there. Thanks for your help x
So a varied three days of pods - Sunday, James and Dick just love those two interspersed with Helen making a guest appearance. Helen has such a beautiful voice. I didn’t listen to the 2+ hour chat between Trump and Musk. I think I already know where they both stand by now! Also I am extremely irritated by Trump talking about covid as if it was a real thing and not a scam and Musk believing to a degree in climate change. Musk says we need to let farmers across the world produce food because we don’t need to worry about CO2 emissions for at least 100 years. The whole climate change scenario is a total scam, so we don’t ever need to worry about emissions.

Here's where I stand on 'the covid'. I never had the jab and got an illness, of some sort, from someone who 'tested positive' despite being jabbed. I first thought it wasn't too bad and so had a glass of wine and went for a walk. Then it hit me and was shocked when I Iooked in the mirror, the next day, and saw skeletor looking back at me. After speaking to a friend whose son is an anaesthetist, and had seen peoples' condition deteriorate, I called an ambulance because he reckoned it was the only way to get early medical attention. I subsequently got a Doctor's appointment so didn't require the ambulance. I had a blood test and wasn't told what strain I had, but it seemed real to me. I didn't feel back to 'normal' for about six weeks. Maybe it was psychosomatic, on my part, but my neighbours had two 60 something year old relatives who died 'of covid'. Of course it may have been another respiratory illness rebranded which was left untreated for too long - no flu cases and all that.
I believe there was a unique virus, manufactured (probably) in Wuhan which killed some and adversely affected others, who were 'at risk,' and was used to frighten and control the masses whilst being a nice little earner for the psychopaths. It was also their opportunity to bump off more of the useless eaters.
As for Trump, I believe he's a sociopath, to some degree, not a psychopath, which means he's better than the Starmers of this world. He did try and put forward other treatments and stop travel from China and was shouted down and accused of putting lives at risk.
Hi Abs I have been with my children we have been travelling around South East Asia on holiday but I have been looking for a less stressful place to live I listen all the time but haven't had time to comment.
