I wish it could be Christmas every day by Wizzard is a favourite if mine.

The lead up to Christmas is a difficult time for me. Tomorrow will be the anniversary of my brother Chris’ murder in Golden Valley, Arizona. I will raise a glass and toast his life which ended far too soon at 45 years of age and in such an awful way. I know that I am not unique and that so many of us feel the loss of loved ones at Christmas time.

Evening all,

I believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake is my favourite;

🎵I looked to the skies with excited eyes, is my favourite line.

I’m numb to Christmas this year for obvious reasons and other stuff.

Wish I could just F off until it’s over.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Jan💙

100% right for calling out the hypocrisy and inherent misogyny regarding the lyrics. You sound on top bubbly form again which is great to hear. BTW just got tickets to see you at Hope Sussex in February... so very excited !!

Very much enjoyed your Neil Oliver. Make him say more things in the next pod!

Just DMd you an idea on telegram. Didn’t know if that’s the best way to run an idea by you. Ignore if it’s rubbish. I won’t be offended!

Blessings

Jonny.

A beautiful pod tonight. Beautiful singing and a very beautiful poem too.

My favourite Christmas song is 2000 miles by the Prentenders. Love the second verse :

In these frozen and silent nights

Sometimes in a dream, you appear

Outside under the purple sky

Diamonds in the snow sparkle

Totally agree with Terry, you can never have enought pants and socks. I also love getting slippers and PJs.

Hi Abi family 👋🏻👋🏻 driving into work catching up after 2 days off with a bit of flu 🙄 as I keep telling people too scared to come near me that it’s perfectly normal to be ill this time of year! Ffs... agree with you Abs on the feeling of the evil being forgotten and all returning to normal. I just go by my Facebook! So ill put a nice post on of a funny meme and I’ll get a solid 20 likes 😂 and a nice holiday pic gets between 30-40 likes 👍🏻 but yesterday on the settee in a mood that people are still carrying on the covid (off work) card, I posted a rant at people still carrying on the lie and that the government lies to us all!

Then I turn into the mad friend off her rocker again and get around 3 likes 😂😂

I try but I end up being that person who has lost it!

Although I take great pride in stopping my work colleague and her husband from not having any more jabs. They were really ill after their 3rd and they now see it plus much more 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m with you Abs. We are all with you xx have a lovely Christmas and New Year everyone. Speak soon! Xx

I agree, everyone is acting like all is back to normal, makes my blood boil. As you say celebs have been showing their true colours - which are horrible and murky. So disappointing.

I thought the Crown was superb especially the final scenes of the Queen with her younger self. And yes what we thought was our glorious past with the monarch was tarnished with the jab pushing. Sad. Dominic West was wow as Charles but thought Harry was badly cast more a Wesley from Harry Potter ? 👀 I did actually applaud at the end I loved it xx

Such a good pod tonight Abi. I loved the Kirsty McColl song. You sang it beautifully. My favourite Christmas song is Merry Xmas (war is over) by John and Yoko. The best Christmas number 1 - Killing in the Name of by Rage Against the Machine. It showed the X Factor winners that Christmas number 1 wasn't guaranteed and it's the best protest song ever! x
