I think this talk of masks and future lockdowns has been put out intentionally to fearmonger and to test the reaction. It probably started as one comment intentionally seeded and it has literally taken off like a fire. Don't forget there is a new booster being rolled out for the over 65's and there is less interest so they need to ramp up the fear. They need that pension bill down amongst other things. They also need to cover for the illness coming this Autumn (many damaged immune systems now) and also illness coming from the young with the flu mist. So they also need a new variant story to cover all this up. Hopefully with all their spies everywhere on social media and twitter etc they will be getting the message loud and clear that a lot more folk will not be falling for this bs now (if only in relation to masks and lockdowns).

Anyway, it reminded me of a vid I watched. There was this trans (wo)man in a sultry black and white setting. He was in a silky dressing gown smoking a cigarette in one of those long holders (this is where it gets graphic). He then takes the cigarette and starts to put the filter bit in his bum hole like it’s an old man’s puckered mouth smoking. Well it backfired literally, as the bum is quite a powerful muscle and it sucked up the fag so it shot up his arsehole and burnt his ring-piece. Ruined the mood of the vid when he jumped up, dressing gown flapping trying to push it out of his bum.
I have never laughed so much in my life. Actually pissed myself a little bit. People are SO fucking weird.
Whenever I hear the saying ‘blows smoke up your arse’ I think of that video. What a wrong un! Hope that made people chuckle and not feel sick.

Great pod tonight Abi and much needed to lift the spirits. I’m in a weird mood too I cried eating my lunch today no idea why think it’s all this incessant threat of lockdown/mask/jab scenario and then my 62nd birthday(bloody hell it sounds old 🤔) on Sunday, and would have been our 36th wedding anniversary. So I thank you for making me smile tonight. Thinking of Lisa puts it all into perspective and sending her love. Still think the Diana is off the scale superb. Love to all x Suzanne

I’ve got low/battle weary mood too, everyone is so disappointing,it’s all so exhausting now. Part of me wants them to ramp it up big time so something kicks off......I think we need a trigger, so sick of this shit now. Those Fringe jokes were really abysmal. I mean what the actual fuck? What is going on? It’s like a bad fucking dream. Out of all the awful stuff happening sometimes it’s shit like this that tips you over the edge. My stomach churns at the surreal ness of it all.
Another great POD Abi. Have to say those Fringe festival jokes are truly appalling, nearly as bad as the knock knock jokes I was telling my granddaughter. She's only 4 and I said knock, knock and she said nobody's at home as we don't like knock knock jokes. This child makes me howl.

Oh fuck, fuck, fuck! I know you won’t approve Abi but I am flying to Las Vegas on 5 Sept. It is a 3 yr delay of my holiday because of ‘Covid’. My brother is buried 90 miles across the border in Arizona and I feel close to him by going there. I am staying at Paris, Las Vegas and they have just sent me an email to say that if I’m not fully vaccinated they expect me to wear a mask!! WTF, no that is not going to happen. The only reason I am going to America is because of no mask, no testing, no vaxx 🤷♀️😳
Well having a lovely time on my Spanish holiday, it’s nice to see all the children having so much fun without a care and all the palaver.
I did have work colleague go to lanzarote a couple of weeks before me. When I asked if she’d had a good time she said holiday was lovely other than they’d all got the tummy bug going round.

Things have got a bit slack with hygiene now folk can serve themselves again, we didn’t have this problem during CovId when they had to serve you everything.
While I agree some folk are lacking in the hygiene area, does this really mean our whole lives and world have to change forever, it’s downright bloody ridiculous.
Those jokes truly were like Christmas cracker rejects written by Amstrad powered AI. The only half decent one over the last few years is the one with the ‘florettes’ punchline and that’s pretty forced.

What would I do without you Abi? Moving house is stressful. As soon as your podcast starts up I feel relaxed. Educational, hilarious and hard hitting real. Love every second of them darling girl.
Forgive me if I'm wrong. I have some history with launching and running comedy clubs way back and seem to remember people telling me that Avalon used to make a lot of money from comedy tours with the comics not making much at all. It was beneficial for comics to be with agencies like that though, because they were such a powerful force in the industry. As you say, it all seemed pretty fixed, even back then.
