Agree about the singers such as Paloma Faith and Adele. Poor breath control and strange vocal styles / word pronunciations that are just not the way anyone ever talks. Listen to 'award winning' Adele seemingly having an asthma attack on the Skyfall recording. The laziest woman in showbiz with 1 album, so just 12 or so mediocre songs released every 5 years, hardly any gigs / tours and likely to cancel on you last minute due to having a diva tantrum or to ban you for not having the latest booster! No wonder she was able to lose all that weight, she had all the time / money in the world to do so! Have you noticed how most modern day, so called singers seem to sing through their nasals and / or are very shouty? The best singers in my opinion were true artists such as Dusty Springfield, Sandi Shaw, Dionne Warwick and Karen Carpenter back in the day. Actually, anyone was able to master a Burt Bacharach song made the grade! Anyway, rant over!!
