Long time listener, first time commenter. Working in the biopharma sector and just in from a rare work night out with very intelligent idiots, PhD level idiots. Everything is completely fucked. These people are literally cheerleading for oppression because of mmmclimate at the same time as they acknowledge that they haven't any idea of what the climate does. " But shouldn't we adapt our entire lives anyway to be a positive example to other countries". I asked one PhD what his hopes are for his young children and he couldn't even answer, but made a lame attempt at arguing that life is better now than it was for his parents (where one earner could support an entire family). These people need to get in the bin, and I need to quit this industry before I go completely mad. If they knew I wasn't jabbed they'd lynch me. Some of them have had covid 3 or 4 times now. God bless you Abi. And God save me when I have to see these eejits in the office tomorrow.

I watched Painkiller at Abi's recommendation. Just a quick heads up, Dopesick on Disney+ is the story of the Oxycontin epidemic from the perspective of a small mining town in the mountains and the catastrophic consequences. I've watched a couple of episodes and really enjoying it.
I've heard it's a good eye opener unfortunately I don't have Disney just Netflix & Sky the Painkiller doc was an interesting eye-opener regarding the scum pharmaceutical companies& very sad
I loved all the Greek philosophy bits it’s fascinating- I met a guy in Andros in the 80s who said he was Dionysis haha yes exactly too much wine and sun ! In 2015 Nick and I did a pilgrimage to Israel and having left the Garden of Gethsemane we stood overlooking the city of Jerusalem and it had a profound effect on us. So I am very confused now about my belief because why did he take my husband and brother in 4 weeks. We walked from the Wailing wall to the site of the crucifixion and quite honestly it’s just amazing. We both said that trip would live with us forever x
