Totally off topic but....I was in Barnsley town centre on Saturday. There are food places in the Market Kitchen which is very popular. A lady in a nurse smock approached the man beside us who had a child in a high chair. She asked if he was 2 yet and handed him a colouring picture and crayons. I'm around the corner doing nasal flu sprays, she said, it only takes a minute. The man was awake and said no chance. He said he was going to complain. The picture said "I'm a flu fighting hero." How bad is that? Targeting children while eating and handing out propaganda to the over two year olds 😞

I’m back here with the Abi Daily Family after a 2 week absence but it feels so much longer. I haven’t missed Twitter at all but feel a bit out of touch now. I couldn’t give a damn about Russell Brand, I’m sure it’s a planned distraction by the matrix. I have never found Russell Brand funny at all, I just think of him as an obnoxious narcissist prick.

If I can dream Elvis Presley just made my day. It’s a track I play over and over in the car, roof down foot down and I just drive, it clears my head. Kind of sums up how I feel about the shitshow of the last 3 years.

I have a little story about Elvis .. my Aunty Lily Guy (not my real Aunty but my Nana’s best friend) saved for more than 10 years to go with the uk fan club to vegas to see him, and he had a little fun singing to her, she was front row. She and her daughter Jean went around 1972 and it truly was the highlight of their lives. So whenever I see or hear Elvis I think of Aunty Lily and Jean with great fondness, lovely people who just had ordinary lives with one superb moment they saved for. Halcyon days the 60s and 70s when people appreciated just everything. Great pod Abi xx

I’m not a great Elvis fan but I liked that track. I’m going to do my best to work backwards and catch up on all the Abi Daily pods that I have missed over the past 2 weeks, as well as JD, Miri AF and lots more too. It’s going to be an exhausting week!

Hi Abi, really interested to hear your thoughts on slebrity - it has always seemed to me to be such a vacuous and phony world - no sensible person would want to get caught up in it. There is more dignity in stacking shelves in Sainsburys. Found your comments on forging a new tomorrow very uplifting- you're right it begins with us. The band was Talk-Talk - I think we are of a similar vintage 😊

I watched that Dispatches Abi. He was truly vile doing the live act. Hubby listened and said why are men laughing when he's talking about women that way. I would have got up and walked out. He went to bed wouldn't watch the rest. Can't believe he's slept with that many girls. He always looked minty and in need of a wash

Abi! “Life’s what you make it”, by Talk Talk. Album is The Colour of Spring.

Also, I listened to your podcast with James, this morning. You were fantastic and the conversation was magnificent.

One question however, has James woken up to the fact that Andrew Tate is a human trafficking pimp, scum cunt, who the world can do without?

As for Brand...I do enjoy his witty take downs. both the allegations and stitch up can be true, not mutually exclusive. remember the Assange rape stitch up to get him to Sweden and probably to the US. Also remember the BBC Panorama ( Pano-drama ) Tommy Robinson take down that ended very badly for them and they had to retire John Sweeney for a while. That was a paying someone to make accusations against Tommy. That moment was a big eye opener to how corrupt the BBC are.

Iim not religious myself but listen with interest to the discussions an comments about religion. im not antagonistic either, it's just the culture I grew up in an core pieces I happily retain, they are part of me. ghost stories, reincarnation, nature, the land an ancestors. the voices in my head are usually family alive an gone, people ive met or speak to or crow's, Robins, even the wind. the church in Ireland always seemed less rich than the faces of extended family sat in the kitchen talking to each other as a child growing up. the characters an dramatic story telling. they brought alive people passed on I never met in person who seemed amazing or carried in stories injustices done to people gone. I saw alot within my family with low confidence from being down trodden by church hierarchy. I used hate them for doing this,

on my visit to Ireland I went to a place where the banshee roams ( was always scared to go to this place alone ) as something within compelled me. instead of being scared a thought came into my mind that the banshee was crying cause she was suffering an what I should do was listen an not run from this/her pain. some might say this is a religious experience though for me I don't see things in this way.

sometimes I pass a place where I feel energy of a person or a tribe of people an take note respect it. on the other hand I find often the light workers too much in another way. I think now its overt attachment to ritual over just being natural that doesn't suit my temperament. I feel alot but also like to be grounded an follow my gut instincts with consideration.

I never forget my dad ( me da ) when bringing me to mass as a child saying " never forget these people ( the clergy ) wake, eat an sleep to the sound of a bell, its not real life. don't take them seriously, just be des an follow your gut ), try to be decent.

hope this is not taken as being offensive. I do listen with interest to all being said

Regarding Bev Turner yesterday on GB News, I’ve been giving this a lot of thought, perhaps too much but I can’t help but feel, (not saying I agree or disagree with what she said) but she was absolutely ambushed by that prick Pierce and what comes to mind is what happened to Abi with John Gaunt! Bev was absolutely in shock and I bet she was shaking inside with no one to come to her rescue.
