We had good news last week, well my son did as he passed his A levels. Missed out on getting two A’s in maths, chemistry and a B in physics.

Two days before the results they informed them they’d cranked up the boundaries by 50 marks, maths went from 160 to 215 to achieve an A, he’s had to settle for two B’s and a C instead.

There’s a lot of disgruntled students out there who will either miss uni, or uni will have to drop targets.

Turns out the new scoring boundaries are higher than pre coof days, bit shitty really considering the amount of education that was lost to those who have just finished their A levels.

Anyway son is not going to uni turned his place down months ago, said he cannot sit and be lectured to about how bad the evil white males are, all while for paying a shit load of money for it.

He’s looking for an apprenticeship, applied to loads so fingers crossed. Good luck to all those with young adults entering uni or the workplace, let’s hope they all do well in life xx.

Sorry for not commenting for a while Abi. Thought i'd give others a chance to speak, instead of my rambling bollarko's all the time. I do talk shite sometimes.

Have a lovely extended weekend all!

Hope to see you all soon.

Taken me back there Abi with the ticks and matches tonight.

Years ago when we’d first got married we took a stray cat in that was full of feline flu, poor thing couldn’t meow afterwards only squeak.

Anyway he would often go out galavanting, one day we noticed this black thing growing out of his forehead. Took him to the vets where he informed us it was a tick and gave us some solution to remove it. He told us in future to stick some Vaseline on anymore ticks he may pick up, they can’t breathe if you smother them in Vaseline so have to disengage.

Thankfully he never picked another up, he was jet black and the tick bulging out of his forehead looked as if his brain was trying to escape.

Regarding the matches my mother in law kept them in the toilet to diffuse the stink, their bathroom was downstairs just off of the kitchen, it wasn’t an aroma you ever wanted to be greeted with and she wilfully admitted she had a smelly arse.

A bit tipsy again last night so I didn’t even attempt to listen to the pod until Saturday morning. Happy 18th Birthday Harry, enjoy drum & base🍾🍺

We have an arson crisis in so many countries not a climate crisis.

Great post by Lizzy, spot on with everything.

Stop This Flame was a good way to end the pod. Have a great Bank Holiday weekend you lovely people xx💖🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🌞

Abi, Friends, you may find this film about climate change interesting. It explains the hoax so simply. Similar to the vaccines, so I saw in a chart and article a long while back. Frustratingly, am unable to find the link to that one.

50% of the staff in the Apple Store, Regent St were masked up in early September on a day when the temperature was around 80F.

It does make you wonder what makes people tick to be thinking they need to do that on a hot, late summer's day.

It doesn't bode well for us all that so many Covidiens are moving amongst us, ready to bow down to government demands all over again.

They're clearly still genuinely very worried about de Covid. Sob.

I know people who still don't want to know the facts. It does make me sad. How many more will be injured and killed before they realise something is very wrong.

Love the matches stories for tics and strong smells in the bathroom Abi. 🤣

This afternoon on the beach I was stung by an enormous blinking bee behind my right ear. 😱

A gawwwgeous creature … except for leaving his mark.🤣

He had a really good nestle. Was ever so furry. Felt quite lovely to be honest (haha) .. that is, until the naughty little sausage did his best.🙄🤣

I howled out, squealed some more, then asked a passing stranger to check my ear for 'bee damage.'

After the initial shock, my friend realised what had happened and said the best antidote is to drink your own urine within 20 seconds. 🫣😅

Those 20 seconds had long gone.

However, after the shock had passed, I quickly emptied a little plastic container housing business cards in my car …

skipped to the public loo, did my duty, clipped on the lid, returned to the car ..

added sparkling water 😜 ..

drank my homemade ‘lemonade’ 🤔😅 ..

(couldn’t face it neat when I tried it for no particular reason for a few days last year after hearing about it’s interesting qualities, so wasn’t about to now 😜)

Aaaaaand …

YUP …

the sting disappeared. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So there you go ladies and gents. (yes, there are only two physical genders)

A simple, cheap cure for a bee sting …

so long as you can quickly take a little pee pee into a handy vessel.🤣

Yet another example of how our bodies are self healing miracles! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've a confession Abi. I went to the ULEZ protest outside Downing Street and spoke to......Hello Matey Peeps Buxton. She was well coiffed and not as snooty as I expected. Alan Miller, Farage and, I believe, Right tit Opik made fleeting visits. I met two, clued up, sisters from Tunbrige Wells, and a young Polish lady who reckoned her compatriots would never allow half the things we go along with in the UK. Also, an obligatory Irishman (also called Brian) who said 'da covid' a few times.

So a disappointment after the, hugely supported, anti lockdown marches I joined. However I was treated to a little Police OTT behaviour.

It's hard to understand the mentality of Politicians who have deliberately overseen the demise of once great institutions and tell us we should be grateful whilst taking ever more of our hard earned cash.

I don't pray but if goodwill can succeed in helping Lisa, in any way, please add mine.

Belated Happy Birthday to Harry🎂 and i hope Suzanne had a lovely birthday today💐

An update on my appointments this week....as i said in a reply to shoutymum my appointment on Thursday to see the psychologist was cancelled at the last minute due to them having a cold🙄then my appointment Friday i ended up seeing someone else because the oncologist is off long term🤦‍♀️goodness knows why.

Had no indication from them whether my radiotherapy had been successful cos they didn’t seem to have a bloody clue as they hadn’t seen me before, they looked puzzled.

Again chemo came up as the spread in my lungs had showed progressed in the June scan, reluctantly i have agreed to a course of chemo in tablet form but i have said if i have major side effects i will stop it.I am now waiting for a series of tests and a scan before this starts( hopefully it will show if the radiotherapy has helped i bloody hope so after the last few weeks) and i have to try and get myself feeling stronger physically and mentally ready for the next few months. Thanks for the thoughts and best wishes it means a lot, as ever love listening to the pod Abixxx
