As an ex wine merchant, I can tell you gimmicky labels usually mask shite wine. On a more positive note, I've found another two switched on people - there are definitely more about. Unfortunately a retired lady warned me there was a mini spike of covid cases in the local hospital. I feigned surprise, saying 'surely most people are injected.' She said that she was recently boosted and was ill shortly afterwards. Her husband, she said, was very ill, after his booster, with covid like symptoms. I bet they never recorded their injection illnesses.

It could be my imagination but I detect something in the air before dull, cloudy weather and the resultant rain. I'm really starting to believe in geo engineering.

If I were Biden I'd refuse any suggested trip to Canada. He probably thinks euthanasia is part of the former Yugoslavia.

Listened to Tuesday’s pod this morning as I was at the Top Secret Comedy Club in Drury Lane last night to see Alistair Williams & Tania Edwards do a new standup show. I have never been to this club before, it’s tiny and intimate with a well stocked bar and undoubtedly the cheapest drinks in London. Then onto The Real Greek for dinner.

Today the 24th is my birthday, I’ve made it through another year! No sun today but at least it is warmer than last year when I was in Chichester. Then it was windy, raining and only 16c. Out to dinner tonight and a few beverages!

We must get our act together Debbie! I’m at Backyard to see Katie Hopkins on Wednesday 23 October but hopefully in London again before then. We will have to swap mobile numbers x

No wonder you felt flat after a weekend like that. I need to get myself out of a rut. I'm always waiting rather than living in the present. Waiting for covid justice or just generally waiting for people to wake up. Not good.

No not good, we can only live in the moment, not the past or the future as they do not exist. Grab each moment it’s the only way

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend Abi. Me and hubby are taking the grandkids and daughter and son in law to Somerset this weekend. So looking forward too this week with them. They are so excited.

Aaah I love hearing you Abby. I agree about travelling light ..all you need is one change of clothes or just clean knickers ..maybes not even that! My daughter came to see me in Stalag Greece this week ( I'm bitter after the way they treated us during the Scamdemic!) She travelled with all her kids and 5 tiny bags and each carried their own....no need for oversized baggage to get you down !

So lovely to hear about you picking fresh food....its fantastic and a pleasure to hear xxxxx

had a laugh about packing lightly. I was very impressed with myself a few years ago when me and hubby went away for the weekend. All I brought with me were my berks. But I actually brought my left size 6 and my husband's right size 9. I tried to get away with it but alas looked like a plonker. Yet again. Your weekend sounds fabulous. X

Sounds like a perfect weekend. I used to speak a little Italian apparently better when several vines consumed. No idea now. The old use it or lose it. Would like to go back as I love Italy but have no desire to travel due to how unpleasant it can be now and for the first time my passport has expired. Maybe I'll have a go at learning the language again...
