Hi Abi. I have noticed a different vibe on the telegram channel and I don’t engage very often now. I love the pod and do look forward to hearing your madness, kindness and singing. I don’t agree with everything that everyone says but we all have freedom to say it. I follow lots of different people and I go where I feel I harmony. Too much anger and division around at the moment and I don’t need to listen to people who are making things worse! So glad you coming up to Manchester next week, hope we can chat again. Please don’t stop the pod, as you say you can’t please everyone and non of us have to, we just all need to be genuine ❤️

For clarity I responded to a question on Telegram about Remembrance Day and whether the Palestinian March should go ahead . My answer was no respect our traditions and our sacred day, then was told I had no humanity. So to be honest I didn’t see the response from Rhoda it was Mike who answered her and tagged me. I don’t sit scrolling on threads I don’t have time or interest. It all got really out of hand, which I don’t want it’s a nice group. Poor Mike then got called a bully which was wholly unfair he is a very nice calm and sensible chap. I think even little things tip me over so I stopped reading it all, went in the garage saw Nick’s lawnmower and cried my eyes out. I caught the end of the fall out over JD on there, I like JD I think his podcasts are superb. All gets a bit silly we’re all good people but we can’t always agree. God love you Abi great podcast xx

Love you Suzanne. I hate the thought of you crying because of this stupidity on telegram. 🙁 I might have to start curating it again by invitation only. And add more Michael Ball/Jane McDonald posts! ❤️❤️

Thank you Abi. I've recently joined you here after hearing you speak with James Delingpole. You are truly a breath of fresh air which just right sprinkling of honesty , intelligence arsiness and humour . You cheer me up no end. You say out loud what I need to say more often. I've been awake since 2007 and faced insults , rejection and ridicule for years . Since the dawning of the 2020 nonsense ive met many like me here in the north east at SITP and in other activist groups. We have all lost so much ( family freinds and trust ) but we also gained so much... You're one the gems we've gained. Thanks for all you do.

Thank you, Sharon! What a lovely post. Very glad to have you and your wisdom with us here X

I totally agree with you Abi - we should stop investing everything in "saviors" that have to be perfect and inevitably make human mistakes sometimes. I love James D and feel we are all on a journey together. New bits of info constantly emerge and it is the sign of a strong character when someone can say "I was wrong". The holy ceremony sounds quite dark. Whats with all the head shaving?Sounds very MK ultra - Allegedly...... :-) Thanks for your laughs and fun energy. I always have a chuckle.

Thanks for that very wise post, Birgitte! I’m fine being the one who speaks out, or is difficult, but it’s when I get the blame for being associated with somebody else’s poor or naive choices. I can only do so much 😬😁

Hey Abi, love listening to this pod these days i just haven’t got the energy for arguments or negativity on twitter/telegram or in general really with people who may disagree with what i have to say.

A couple of weeks ago i met 2 former colleagues for breakfast we talked, we laughed and we cried mainly about the state of the world and the effect on one of their granddaughters who has been traumatised from the past 3& half years and was having some problems,I told them it wasn’t surprising how it had affected her considering the behavioural psychology that had been used on them to scare people into compliance.

The colleague without the granddaughter said she must have been asleep as she hadn’t seen any of it and kinda dismissed what i said, i left it i had said my bit and given them both something to think about. Anyway a few hours later after i got home i got an apology from her for not agreeing with what i had said, i said please don’t apologise i don’t want everyone to agree with me its good to have healthy debate... Anyway thats me waffling on again much love Lisa xxx

Thank you for your podcast today. Abi. I get things wrong, you get things wrong and James Delingpole gets things wrong. We all need to practice a little grace and patience for each others mistakes. What we all have in common is a passion for the truth. If not for James Delingpole, I wouldn’t have found you, and many other truth seekers. Sometimes, accepting the real world and all the darkness in it can be difficult. Remaining vigilant against the lies requires help from our friends. You are a friend to many of us. Keep calling out the bullshit when you see it. The louder, the better.

Great pod today Abs. Remember, we can’t be all things to all people. Be true to one’s self and all that 🙏💙

Expand full comment

None of us can say that we have been right all the time. Sometimes our trust in people has been found wanting. James Delingpole doesn’t have anything to apologise for to the people on Telegram. Who do these high and mighty people on Telegram think they are. I left Telegram a couple of months ago as it was getting as bad as Facebook, which I left 2 years ago and wish I had done sooner.

I've been made to feel out of the loop because I don't use snapchat or facebook. I briefly tried facebook, initially for my business, but found the way it links people, who've never met, scary. I'm also glad to have avoided telegram. A bit of humour and swearing goes along way and that's why I listen to Abi.

Expand full comment

Brian, never let anyone make you feel out of the loop. I left Facebook 2 years ago and wish I had done it sooner. Even the local groups on Facebook were obnoxious, run by little Hitlers. I’ve never been interested in Snapchat and rejoined Telegram just to view Abi’s posts. For my sanity I have given up on Telegram, the constant sniping and holier than thou attitude of some people is too much. Twitter is enough for me and even then I have to dip in and out. I did join GETTR but it’s mainly Chinese and Americans who make up the followers so I rarely post. Tbh, I want to do other things besides being on the iPad all day! Now Abi, she is a gem💖

Expand full comment

Hi Jan I like GETTR too I find hearts of oak interesting Peter is a lovely man also enjoy David Vance pod he occasionally mentions our Abi and is full of admiration for her .

Expand full comment

Yes, Hearts of Oak is very good and Peter seems such a lovely guy. I must say when I met Jason Miller he was charming and asked for a photo as I was wearing the Cathy Crunt T-shirt, he said he loved Abi Roberts. I am glad to see that Jason Miller is back as chief adviser to Donald Trump. People have asked me why I like Jason Miller with his history of infidelity. My answer is that his private life is none of my business.

Expand full comment

Totally agree Jan. I found people I knew were either posting holiday photos (which makes me think of Victor Meldrew) or what they had for breakfast. If you don't like what they like, it's as if you're their enemy. During the lockdown, a friend posted a picture of his newly baked loaf which was supposedly the answer to being locked up until he was multi jabbed. Anti social media is home to the pot banging, mobile phone paying, planks (aside from us, of course). I do still look at Gettr because it can contain useful information although the FREDS etc. I suspect, have moved to Twitter/X.

Expand full comment

Yes Brian, all those photos of people posting their breakfast and dinner🤦🏼‍♀️ GETTR is good for uptodate info on USA.

Expand full comment

Well Abi, we have a different taste in men😂 I met Maajid at Jason Miller’s football party in London, USA v England. I did not find Maajid either attractive or engaging. It was a brilliant evening though with free booze and food all evening! I did meet some lovely people there that evening although I avoided the GB News lot especially Nana Akua who tried to engage with me at the bar. She obviously didn’t realise that she had blocked me on Twitter😂

Expand full comment

To be honest, I don’t really have a ‘type’, but if they smell good, have a nice voice, and have a sparkle in the eyes, that’s pretty much me gone. 😁

Expand full comment

I know what you mean Abi. I’ve had 3 husbands and none of them I would class as my typical choice in guys😂 Sometimes a guy’s intellect grips me and I then find them attractive. Initially it’s usually their looks and the chemistry. My first thought is, would I like to go to bed with you. Our Will from Oz now he is hot and the delicious Kerry Murray.

3 husbands. Well done Jan. 😂

Expand full comment

Trust me, 3 husbands is bloody exhausting. I don’t have the strength for a 4th😂

Years ago my brother was dating an American girl when he lived in USA and she had been married 5 times by the age of 38 years. So in comparison I have done quite well😂

Ive had just the one for 34 years. He's been my sanity. Keeps me balanced in a world of crazy. 😂

5 now thats just greedy 🤣🤣

Expand full comment

Debbie, that just goes to show that you made a fantastic choice whereas I chose my husbands for all the wrong reasons looking back. At least I had my two sons with husband No2 otherwise life would have been more complicated if they had different fathers.

You’ve just described Michael Ball 🤣

You didn't spend too long on the first bit at all - everything you said was very important and needed to be said. Everything you say is utterly heartfelt and deeply thought out. Well everything important anyway (you are joyfully uncensored).

Hello Abi. I'm listening to you tonight and thinking that I must have missed something about James Delingpole and Andrew Bridgen and someone else whose name I didn't catch. I wonder if you could let me know what happened? I really enjoy listening to your thoughts and your sense of humour! And particularly your intro and outro!

Hi Abi, re boiler shenanigans, when it is freezing outside the condense pipe can freeze which will prevent the boiler from igniting. If installed correctly, (adequately sized, ooh er matron) it won’t freeze even in the depths of winter. That said, it hasn’t been cold enough for this to happen recently so could be a different intermittent fault. Depending on which appliance you have boiler may display a fault code which will help with diagnosis. How’s about that for an exciting post! DtP x
