I am gutted about losing you on Twatter but I get it and your dumping of Elon will have a positive effect on me spending less time on there. It can be a mood hoover and there’s much less funnies these days, just negativity. Your quick witted, sharp tongued, insightful tweets will be remembered as anything but a ‘mediocre fuck’, they were shagtastic and Twitter will be worse off without them. xx

That is the bitter sweet part for me. Not being on there with good people. You can always keep me in the loop with your brilliant memes and ripostes. 🥰

And… thank you for the glowing review of my Twitter legacy, our Jules. I’ll use that in any show promo. 😄

Twitter can be a curse Abi, it draws you in and then fucks with your head. Some really nasty arseholes on Twitter too and so much negativity. Just this week I’ve received some vile DMs. I don’t buy newspapers or watch tv so I have used Twitter to get up to date info and see what is happening around the world. I still call it Twitter as ‘X’ seems satanic to me. I love your SubStack posts and pods Abi. You must go with your gut feeling and do what is right for you 💖

I just couldn’t bear the gaslighting trolls and negativity any more. There was no real discussion either. Unlike here, where I can write longer articles and listeners can write considered posts.

Really I had to do it for my own well-being.

Since I was banned from Twitter way back when, I’ve struggled to find ‘my place’ really. What used to make the Twitter of old different was that you could have a laugh on there. Really banter. Substack is okay but I do find it takes itself very seriously, a bit beard strokey (and that’s just the ladies 😉😂).

The new buzz around ‘Reform’ is just depressing.

Higher self says “we create our own realities” but it’s tough sometimes with people dumb as fucking woodpeckers everywhere.

Don’t blame you Abs and I said pretty much the same thing to Jules the other day.

I’ve cut down on replies and retweets as they get bombarded with porn bots.

I don’t engage much either as I don’t see the regular folk.

I’ve muted many words and I just ignore stuff I’m not interested in.

It’s a cesspit.

It's a weird one isn't it. I think a few years back it was great to receive and forward important info. Then convid appeared and it was game on. Trying to save and inform the world of this deadly farce. However, although I get alot of info I don't get much traction on my tweets and feels like I'm talking to myself. When we do hold people to account, nothing really happens and although we persevere, it's a slow process. I dip in twice a day for 10mins now as it's full of shout people talking bollox and end to end shite elections. More fun on a bike wearing a leather drinking copious amounts of alcohol 😀 We will see you on Rumble and fuck them tube.

‘Starnak Uniarse’- I’ll have to use that one!

Good parody instantly replaces the target, so the original isn't even in mind after encountering the parody. Back in the distant past, Vaughn Meador's parodies of the Kennedys worked that way, and the pre-partisan Saturday Night Live also worked. "Starnak" is perfect. After reading it, I literally can't remember the actual name of Elon's satellites, which I could have recalled easily before. I know it's star-something, but from now on it's Starnak in my mind.

>I’ve got nearly 57.5k guests, yet I still feel my reach is very limited.

wtf Abs.

I'm banned from all social media, some people cannot even text my articles on Apple platform in Australia because of the eKaren twat, I'm under police surveillance and I have 3.7k Substack subscribers.

If I had 57.5k guests I would have started a revolution by now.

For me personally, it's become a distraction . If I spend time there it drags me down into a pit of despair and I don't create anything.

Australia is fucked. But I love that I have lots of listeners/readers from Oz. We love you for everything you've done despite the totalitarian cuntery. 🙏

Btw: I'm pretty sure that I'm not reaching anywhere that number and quite a few are lurkers.

Yes, probably heaps of bot followers. They're on here as well and there are some large Substack accounts that use AI crawlers. The large accounts on both 'sides' are run by intelligence organisations and have massive teams behind them. Can't escape it unfortunately.

You will notice the people I do NOT follow on Substack. That should indicate who I am talking about.

Will miss your tweets. You were the only person in my search bar with the exception of Bob Moran as I like to see his new stuff. It's a fair point. I did a double take at first as I thought you were making a confession! 👀. You do you, Dame Abi Roberts xx

Never was on twitter. Just know what elon does and where he features in the scheme of big fish and you know the “free speech” promise is a hoot. Glad you weaned yourself abi! Hugs and love xoxo
