I loved this Abi. You’ve got such guts. It’s one of my ambitions to meet you one day and thank you in person for your refusal to give in to these CUNTS. I’m a 54 year old woman who likes that word too. If women like us can’t say cunt then who can? And frankly it’s the only word for these unconscionable psychopaths. Xxxx

Abi Roberts's avatar

Thank you, Bec. I hope we meet some day soon. Much love, and keep CRUNTING X

Abi, I was tearful reading your story and hearing again what you went through on that day. You didn’t even commit a crime ffs.

I was arrested myself more than 20 years ago. My crime was fighting back after I had been attacked. My assailant was injured more than me so the Police saw me as the guilty one. I was only held for 4 hours before I was let go on bail, so I can only imagine what 17 hours would have been like for you. The useless CPS, in their wisdom, decided to prosecute me. I was given the option of a ‘Caution’ which would remain on my record for 5 years and I would have to plead guilty to the charges. Reluctantly I agreed to the ‘Caution’ as my assailant had a family member who was a magistrate and I didn’t fancy my chances in court. I was told that I needed to stay out of trouble for 5 years otherwise I would be prosecuted and the original charge would be reinstated. It was a harrowing experience which I will never forget.

God Bless You 🙏💖

Thanks for sharing your story, Jan. Fucking hell, so sorry you went through that. You're incredible, and an inspiration.

PS I'm wearing your gorgeous Dior lipstick today X

Your arrest 20 years ago is an indication that the UK has been metamorphosing into a full blown police state for DECADES. In my opinion, the start of this dystopian trend was the institution in 2005 of a nationwide database of drivers subjected to breathalyser testing REGARDLESS of whether they were above or below the limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath. This allowed UK police forces to collect comprehensive statistical data on drivers who were below the legal limit and thereafter this database could be referenced for any driver involved in an accident HOWSOEVER caused.

It's so disturbing this happened to you for swearing Abi and, as you rightly say, twitter big knickers are strangely silent. A guy on there, allegedly anti vaccine with a care worker partner who refused it, was insisting to me there was no coercion whatsoever and that everybody had a choice. Either he's as dumb as that cop who 'freely' took it to fly to Majorca or they're trolls. It's sickening. This morning I tried to get in to Barclays bank, opens at ten. Ten fifteen and no sign of life. I waited and when they finally deigned to open at 10.30, told me I was being agressive when I suggested they open on time as customers have work to go to. Any day now I expect my account will be closed down, a la Farage. It's coming from all angles and the solution is to be louder, not meeker.

They were probably undergoing diversity training. What a load of Barclays Bankers.

David Robson's avatar

The solution is to keep cash in a safe and the barest minimum of a balance in your account.

Abi, we live in a lawless land.

Only yesterday a friend was unlawfully evicted once again from her property after we had already retaken it weeks ago from baillifs, with the police enabling the theft and relying upon hearsay and forged documents whist refusing to apply the law and consider the facts that we made blatantly clear.

The police are full of yes men, thick as shit and are not applying the common law.

The entire establishment is a captured operation of genocide.

We cannot become despondent or complacent. The power lies with us the people and in unity.

Abi Roberts's avatar

Love to you guys ❤️

David Robson's avatar

Ah I see. You are the Calvin in the video. Why on earth did you allow those low life security men to go back in the garden? That allowed them to try and bamboozle the police who might well have become very uncooperative. I also don't know why you were so friendly with the police at the end, smiling obsequiously and shaking their hands. I wouldn't have done that. I would have rejected their proffered hands and told them that I considered them to be complicit with a De Facto oppressive police state and given them a lecture on their craven subservience to a regime that is responsible for the widespread injustices being perpetrated against the white working class population.

Thanks for this account of your experience , Abi. You highlight the stupidity and complicity and the “go along to get along” actions of the police, public and media who have contributed to the nightmare of the last three years.

I love your line “pale faces turned away like embarrassed Geishas” - great piece of writing!

Hope you are feeling better and have recovered your equilibrium. BTW, what have you got against green ties?😂

Abi Roberts's avatar

I think I connect green ties to green ink, the ink of the ‘To whom it may concern’ complaint letters of the past that journalists like my mum used to get!!

Such a harrowing account, so beautifully and eloquently written.

Love you Abi Roberts 💖💖💖

Oh Abi have missed you so much, you have been in my thoughts I hope you are mending well and your resolve is even greater, I’m not very good with words so I love that you articulate EVERYTHING that I’m unable to. Stay strong Abi you are building a fantastic team of warriors who are all on the right side of history, we’ve got you ‘be seeing you’ soon, I hope. Much love xx

Sorry I didn’t respond to this earlier. Much love, Carol ❤️

Abi, what a brilliant piece of writing. I hope the catharsis brought about by committing your ordeal to paper brings you much peace, and steels your resolve to keep up the good fight. We are with you, and so is He.

I’m in the ‘arts’ myself, and have been totally and utterly dismayed at the way our peers have shrugged off, waved through and cheerled the most heinous crimes over the past 3 years. Artists! I hope it’s not inappropriate to post it here, but I wrote about this a couple of years ago, if you have a moment please take a look.

Thank you for this lovely post, Chris. I look forward very much to reading your article. 🙏

Excellent article Chris. I am similarly appalled by the level of compliance and absence of pushback from the arts. In December 2021, 52% of London theatres were voluntarily (there was an exemption in the legislation for seated events) implementing medical apartheid at their doors.

It beggars belief.

Chris Hodson's avatar

Thank you Martin. It really does beggar belief.

David Robson's avatar

Great article with which I wholeheartedly agree, but I'm not sure that the oppressive infection control measures of the last 5 years are illegal under Common Law. As I understand it, Common Law is based on precedent, and since it was common practice to quarantine people in their homes during the Plague of London (1664-1665), is that not a precedent for some form of infection control measures? I concede that the Covid19 epidemic was never serious enough to justify any of the oppressive measures invoked by the government and almost all large institutions, but if society was faced with an Ebola epidemic with a 50% IFR, I feel that some form of state sponsored infection control measures might well be warranted.

What wicked and perverted times we're living living through. A least there was a glimmer of humanity peeking through in the form of 'Pete' and a rock of humanity ever present in the form of Francis 👏

What a powerful image Abi of you singing such heartfelt songs from your gloomy but acoustically brilliant cell whilst the world around goes mad. I'm imagining a video of you banged up, singing those songs with unparalleled passion, interspersed with graphic imagery from a mad world 🙏

Sorry responding late to this. Much love, Ian ❤️

Glad you're back Abs, lovely piece, those plod definately gave you the special treatment, it's all about inducing fear, that's all its been for the last few years, a constant stream, they know exactly what they're doing. Everything seems to be getting crazier by the day, who knows where its all going, but more and more people are wising up, I think peeps will finally start coming together now, enough is enough.

It’s the chilling effect “a warning to others”

I think we all know where it's going. The UK is rapidly becoming the UKSSR.
