Godwin wow. There are moments in life when people are sent to you for a reason I am absolutely convinced of that.

We lost Nick’s Mum Betty today she was 87, she died peacefully at home with her daughter Samantha. She had a life filled with love and laughter. In her younger days she dated Brian Blessed we always laughed about that, and her favourite song was When you wish upon a star.. so I will always think of her when I hear that. So much loss this last year for my little family it’s all so surreal. Xx

My daughter & I used tabular to learn how to play the lead & bass electric guitar. Neither of us has picked our guitars up in several years now, although she is thinking of playing again. I was extremely lucky when she expressed an interest in learning to play the guitar all those years ago that I was able to afford a Les Paul vintage paradise for her & a fender precision bass for myself. They have sat gathering dust for a good few years. Time to have a dad & daughter jam.

Just caught up with the pods while i was sat in a rehabilitation centre carpark for an hourπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈsat listening whilst on tender hooks. It must be one of the worst carparks i have ever been in one guy just took out the passenger side wing of another car and there were so many other near misses. For saying the people who use it are by definition disabled its disgusting how small the spaces are no room for a wheelchair. Anyway rant over, so sorry you have been feeling rubbish Abi Uti’s are no fun i used to get em regularly when pre- menopausal. Hope the burn has healed they are so sore we swear by acriflex burn cream( orange tube) we never leave the country without it as its also great for sunburn and takes out that sting its good to have in the old first aid kit.Loved the story about Godwin i truly believe people cross our path for a reason, i had a similar thing with a lady a few weeks back she even said to me that she was meant to meet me that day,its so lovely i know it gave me a lift that day. So today were our final appointments of the year there has been so many 41 wound clinic appointments, 20 in the radiotherapy dept and thats not counting all the scans, blood tests, oncology, psychology, drs apts, alternative therapy, dentist etc its been a bloody exhausting year so thank fuck its Friday!!! Hope everyone is well love Lisa xx

I hear ya Abi, some years ago, I walked to my car, it was winter, 7.30 in the morning and I was taking my 7 year old daughter to the Marsden, Surrey, for yet more gruelling chemo, she had been diagnosed with stage 4 Non Hodgekins Lymphoma. As I approached my car, I could see that the front tire was completly flat, then I remembered that I had not paid my RAC membership for 2 months, money was tight, food was the priority. I thought that I was just going to collapse, sobbing, the " straw breaking the camels back" then out of no where, a traffic warden is walking towards me, no, no I think, not now, I can't deal with it, but the traffic warden did not want to give me a ticket...he wanted to change my flat tire for the spare , " Hello ladies" he said beaming the most beautiful smile at me and my little girl, " You look as though you could do with a helping hand" In minutes he had changed the tire, I was nearly crying with gratitude and the kindness he had shown, I hugged him, thanking him over and over, he smiled and said " Drive carefully" I got into my car, looked around to wave good bye to him, but he had just disapeared as quickly as he had appeared ! I will never forget that lovely gentleman that saved the day on a cold, wintery morning 20 years ago. β€οΈπŸ™

Godwin sounds a joy Abi. I’ve recently met a black guy with dreadlocks on the til at my local Lidl, he is a gem and loves to chat.

Forgot to say a lady i met last Tuesday gave me a pocket angel disc with this message on the back

β€œWhen you have a bad day and life seems unfair, just reach into your pocket and you will find me there. I will wipe away your tears whenever you feel blue. For i am a tiny angel sent to love and watch over you” πŸ™πŸ»

Great pod as always Abi love your Godwin story 🌟 I remember about 11 years ago I’d not long lost my mum I was in Asda browsing cards when a lady I didn’t know started chatting to me she must have picked up from just a little comment I made that I was in a bad place I ended up sobbing my whole sorry story to her πŸ™ˆ we even went for a coffee, I’d never seen her before and never seen her since but I do believe these people are sent to us πŸͺ½x

The Bible speaks of those that entertain angels.

And it's very frequent( Hebrews 13.2)!.

I hate the oversingers like Carey, Beyonce and Franklin too...they care more for their vocal gymnastics more than the song.

I'd go further....they are to real music( like your Coventry Carol ) what Whoopi Goldberg and Sister Act were to gospel churches.

U2 killed religious music, all " Christian " bands merely ape their big music crap.
